However, health facility based-care for people living with HIV/AIDS continues to pose many challenges including high costs, inadequate physical facilities, equipment and health personnel. This has led to a paradigm shift that culminated in the emergence of Community Home-Based Care services. This book thus, examines the effectiveness of Community Home Based Care Programmes as an alternative approach for people living with HIV/AIDS.

Mr. Peter Gutwa Oino is a Program Officer working with Ex-Street Children Organization in Eldoret town, Kenya. He holds a diploma in Project Management, a Diploma in Disaster Management,BA in Anthropology and MA in Sociology. He has several years of working with rural and urban vulnerable communities and groups.
