Grammatical error correction involves various aspects of computational linguistics, which makes the task an interesting research topic. At the same time, grammatical error correction has great potential for practical applications for language learners.

Daniel Dahlmeier is a researcher at SAP Research & Innovation in Singapore. He obtained his Ph.D. in computer science from the National University of Singapore and prior to that his diploma in Informatics from the University of Karlsruhe, Germany.Daniel's research interest are in the area of machine learning and natural language processing.
