Indescriminate use of pesticides create environment problems, bioamplification of the residues in human fat and resurgence of pest and result in development of pesticides tolerant/ resistant strains of the organism. The time tested cultural practises such as growing mixed crops and crop rotation , have been replaced by intensive farming. Changed agronomy , monocropping sequence of cropping have contributed to pest abundance.
