Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Prof. em. Valentin Crastan schöpft inhaltlich aus seiner Erfahrung im Energiebereich. Nach praktischer und leitender Tätigkeit in Unternehmen der Energietechnik war er als Professor für Energiesysteme und Regelungstechnik an der Berner Fachhochschule, Hochschule für Technik und Informatik, Biel, berufen worden, wo er zudem neun Jahre lang auch als Dekan des Fachbereichs Elektrotechnik/Kommunikationstechnik tätig war.

The following report is an attempt to provide a basis for rational discussion, with an analysis of the worldwide energy economy and the associated em- sions.
