As squirrel single-cage motors behave similar to double-cage motors, parameters determination method for double-cage and squirrel-cage induction motors using wound single-cage model obtained from starting transient measurements is presented. Double-cage motor parameters estimation directly from its dynamic equations is difficult. In this book double-cage and squirrel-cage parameters estimation is performed by wound single-cage parameters estimation in two important transient points.
