While studying English and Russian at the University of Vienna to become a high school teacher the author obtained a degree as a Montessori teacher for grades 1 through 6 and fell in love with the Montessori Method. She worked at a Montessori preschool in Austria where her children attended. Tatjana now lives with her family in Louisville, KY USA .
