Professor für Altes Testament unter besonderer Berücksichtigung des Antiken und Modernen Judentums sowie der sozio-ökonomischen Probleme des modernen Staates Israel.
Hermann Michael Niemann, geboren 1948 in Rostock. 1967-1972 Studium der Evangelischen Theologie in Rostock und Berlin. 1980 Promotion. 1991 Habilitation, 1993 Berufung zum C4-Professor für Altes Testament an der Universität Rostock. Lehraufträge an der Theologischen Fakultät der Universität Hamburg und im Theologischen Studienjahr der Abtei Dormitio Mariae in Jerusalem. Seit 2000 Mitglied der Finnischen Akademie der Wissenschaft und Literatur, Helsinki.
The Editors: Matthias Augustin, born in 1950 in Meißen, studied protestant theology, philosophy, and rhetoric in Wuppertal and Heidelberg. He holds a Dr. theol. (1980) and a Dr. phil. (1985). He obtained his postdoctoral qualification in 1989 from the University of Rostock, where he has been teaching since 1992, since 1998 as a professor for the Old Testament.
Hermann Michael Niemann, born in 1948 in Rostock, studied protestant theology in Rostock and Berlin. He received his doctorate in 1980, his postdoctoal qualification in 1991. In 1993 he was appointed to a professorship for the Old Testament at the University of Rostock. He taught at the University of Hamburg and in Jerusalem and is a member of the Finnish Academy of Science and Letters, Helsinki.
