This book's uniqueness lies in its approach to the subject matter, that is, combining a deep understanding of the theoretical underpinnings of design and form (geometries), with an understanding and treatment of Computer Aided Design (CAD) techniques to enable readers and users to gain a more global working perspective in any field where the implementation of 2- and 3-dimensional design is necessary, from engineering, architecture, art, and a wide variety of computer-related fields and industries. While many books are currently published on "how to" use a spectrum of CAD-related software, this book is significantly different in that it makes one ask why we use the software to produce a certain form, look or design. It makes us focus on the geometries of design.
