This work aims to present a unified view of the observing methods and tools of contemporary astrophysics. The collection of information coming from the celestial sources, the methods to process it, the fundamental laws of physics which control it are the subject of the book. Developments in spatial interometry, new detectors, and image restoration methods are presented.
