As an expert in Product Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), he has accumulated years of experience in product carbon footprint research at leading international manufacturing enterprises, with solid expertise in carbon footprint modeling and analysis. Currently, he is deeply engaged in research, analysis of carbon footprint, recycled content, regulation compliance across the lithium battery and new energy industry chains, and has participated in the compilation and review of numerous domestic and international carbon footprint standards, including participating in the expert review of the European Union Joint Research Centre (JRC)-led Battery Regulation carbon footprint calculation rules (CFB-EV for electric vehicle batteries, CFB-INB for industrial batteries), contributing to the formulation of automobile life cycle assessment regulations under the United Nations World Forum for Harmonization of Vehicle Regulations (UN/WP.29), the Global Battery Alliance (GBA) battery greenhouse gas (GHG) calculation rulebook, and the International Lithium Association (ILiA) lithium product carbon footprint guidelines. He has undertaken over 50 sustainability-related consulting projects.
A systematic reference on battery swap technology across transportation modes
Long charging times, high upfront vehicle costs, and peak-demand grid strain remain barriers in electric mobility. Battery Swapping for Sustainable Transportation examines the technical, commercial, and regulatory dimensions of swap-based solutions. Written by a team of specialists in battery recycling, sustainability consulting, and energy transition, this reference addresses market dynamics, business models, and policy frameworks shaping the sector.
The book extends beyond passenger electric vehicles to cover two- and three-wheelers, commercial vehicles, maritime applications, and aviation. It explores interoperability challenges, advanced safety measures, and operational efficiencies at swapping stations. Coverage includes power grid integration, standardized battery condition assessment for used vehicle valuation, and the role of swapping infrastructure in circular EV economy development.
Readers will also find:
Battery Swapping for Sustainable Transportation serves materials scientists, electrical engineers, engineers in power technology, environmental chemists, environmental officers, and energy supplying companies seeking a thorough treatment of swap technology, its integration with existing energy systems, and its implications for transportation planning.
