Über den Autor:

Zhongwei Gu is the director of the National Engineering Research Center for Biomaterials at Sichuan University in Chengdu (People's Republic of China). He has been working on biomedical polymers for drug delivery for nearly 30 years, focusing on the synthesis of biomedical polymers, drug/gene delivery systems, nanobiomaterials for disease diagnosis & bioseparation, and supramolecular self-assembly. A chemistry graduate from Beijing University, he undertook research at the Chinese Academy of Medical Science & Peking Union Medical College, the Research Triangle Institute, North Carolina (USA) and the Department of Bioengineering, University of Utah. In 1994 he became full professor in the Chinese Academy of Medical Science & Peking Union Medical College, before moving to Sichuan University in 2005. Professor Gu is the Associate Editor-in-chief of the Journal of Reproductive Medicine, in addition to serving on the Editorial boards of several other biomedical journals.
