Wissenschaftlicher Aufsatz aus dem Jahr 2021 im Fachbereich Didaktik für das Fach Englisch - Pädagogik, Sprachwissenschaft, Note: XII, , Veranstaltung: Doctor in Development Education, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: This research aimed to develop a Task-Based Pedagogy for Oral Communication at the three cited schools in Cebu, Phillipines during the School Year 2019-2020. To present the findings of the study, matched-pair design was used. The findings of the study revealed that there is a task-based pedagogy development from the teachers' perceptions and the students' perceptions for Oral Communication. Moreover, the use of Oracy Program was found to be effective in assessing the communicative competence of the students in the domains of fluency, pronunciation and accent, vocabulary, and grammar which includes mechanics, structure and style. Thus, the use of Task-Based Pedagogy from the Oracy Program namely Ask and Switch, Talk Detective, Rebuttal Tennis, Q & A Match Up, Petty Party Political Policies, Hat Debates, Following Instructions, Expert Groups, Circle Chats, and Chat Stations serves as a facilitative tool for teachers in developing and enhancing the perception of oracy/ speaking skills of the students. Hence, Task-Based Pedagogy for Oral Communication resource is proposed to enhance the respondent's skills in the domains of speaking.
