This study is carried out to study the quality measures of the Sudanese clothing products regarding the quality of raw material and finished garment. Different samples of fabrics were collected from clothing industries, some imported and others locally made, and tested for some physical properties. Grading and appearance tests together with finishing parameters were conducted for the local ready- made garments and compared with standards. The study has shown clearly that the fabric of higher density, 100% polyester fibers lead to the production of garment of high tensile strength and high tearing resistance . The garment made of cotton/ polyester blend has shown medium tensile and tearing strength. The locally ready-made garments have medium grades concerning the final finishing , seams , and seam finishing.
