L'auteur a l'expérience du travail avec des organisations internationales au sein d'une équipe multinationale et ethnoculturelle. Il a poursuivi des recherches auprès de HSS, IIT Bombay et CSRD, JNU, New Delhi. Il a travaillé sur des questions liées à la foresterie communautaire, aux femmes et à la sécurité alimentaire, à la déforestation, au genre et au changement climatique dans le Garhwal Himalayas.
