Gujarati character recognition, usually abbreviated to GCR, is the process of converting scanned images of machine printed or handwritten Gujarati text (numerals, letters, and symbols), into a computer format text (such as ASCII). All Gujarati character recognition software starts with an electronic image of the text, usually created with a document scanner.
