This book describes the concept of rural area, the specific forms as well as the conditions for the rural area development. It also proposes a strategy for the development of the rural area in South Muntenia Region, which is one of the eight development regions in Romania. South Muntenia Region contains 7 counties which are situated in the South-East part of Romania country. Several proposals and recommendations for the development of this area were also made and presented in this book.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Elena Lascar graduated from the University of Foreign Languages and Literature in 2000. She earned her Master's in Rural Development in the period of 2009-2011 and elaborated the doctoral thesis on Rural Development in the period of 2009-2013. She wrote about 30 scientific articles for international and national conferences on Rural Development.
