Rapid population growth, industrialization, urbanization and technology trends have led to a sharp increase in solid waste generation. Despite this sharp increase in solid waste generation and accumulation, municipalities are still using the same conventional approach to solid waste management. This has led to solid waste becoming a sight of every scene. Residents dump uncollected waste in nearby areas leading to various disastrous problems to the society.
