This book is a corpus-based analysis of different Iranian age-groups' lexis in their daily conversations. The data which have been gathered through semi-structured interviews were put under investigation to check the lexical choice inclinations of different age-groups. The results revealed remarkable variations regarding lexical choice criteria of the participants. This inquiry is one of the first attempts to illuminate the possible differences of speech patterns among different generations of the Iranian society.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Mohammad Saber Khaghaninejad is an assistant professor of TEFL at Shiraz University, Iran, at the moment. He has been taught general and technical courses of English for more than a decade at different universities of Iran now. His areas of interest are sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, language acquisition and teaching methodology.
