In Maharashtra summer is very hot. There is scarcity of water in those days. So to fulfill water requirement of crop, to regulate soil temperature, moisture and to reduce the weed intensity, mulching practices are carried out. Use of organic and inorganic mulches such as different colour mulches i.e. black, silver, bicolor and dry grasses, dry leaves etc. So this experiment carried out to find out the suitable mulch for proper growth, yield and quality of fig and it's effect on physico-chemical properties of fig. This experiment is very beneficial from farmer's point of view.
