This book deals with Variable Stars' automated period finding techniques. Astro time series analysis is done with Lomb-Scargle periodogram method, Phase dispersion method and Significant Spectrum Method (SigSpec) and on the obtained results, Modified cubic spline method is applied in order to confirm the true period. The appendix contains the fortran codes used and the scripts used for automation.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Shaju K.Y. did his Masters in Physics from Calicut University. He did his M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Physics from CUSAT, Kochi. He joined at Christ College, Irinjalakdua, Thrissur, Kerala in 1989 as Lecturer and now working as Associate Professor. His interests are in Astrophysics and Quantum Mechanics.
