Prof. Dr. Christian Bär hatte Professuren in Freiburg und Hamburg inne und ist heute Professor für Geometrie an der Universität Potsdam. Er war Präsident der Deutschen Mathematiker-Vereinigung und ist neben seiner Tätigkeit in Forschung und Lehre Chefredakteur von zbMATH Open.
