The German Revolutions of 1848 9 were among Marx and Engels s most politically active periods. In Cologne, they published a daily newspaper, the Neue Rhenische Zeitung, that called itself the Organ of Democracy. The volume shows their impact on the revolutionary period as radical politicians and as editors and authors of the newspaper.
