Bertrand Barre. Born in 1942, Bertrand Barre graduated from ENSIM (the Mining School of Nancy in France) and post-graduated in Solid State Physics. He also attended the IHEDN (the French National Defence Institute). In 1967 he joined the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), where he alternated scientific and managerial positions in France and abroad, including Nuclear Attaché at the French Embassy in Washington DC, Head of the Nuclear Reactor Directorate in CEA, Director of the Engineering Division in Tecnicatome, REtD Vice-president in Cogema and Vice-president for Scientific Communications in AREVA, where he is currently a Senior Advisor. Betrand is Professor Emeritus At INSTN (the French National Nuclear Sciences and Technologies Institute), Past President of SFEN (the French Nuclear Energy Society) and ENS (European Nuclear Society), a member of the Board of ANS (American Nuclear Society), Vice Chairman of the EURATOM Scientific and Technical Committee, former Chairman of Sagne (Standing Advisory Group for Nuclear Energy) al IAEA. He is also Chairman of the INSC (International Nuclear Societies Councif. Pierre-Rene Bauquis. Born in 1941, Pierre-Rene Bauquis is a graduate of ENSG (the Geology and Mining school of Nancy, France) and of ENPSM (IFP School) in Economics and Management. He also holds a degree in Nudear Geochemistry. After five years at IFP (the French Oil Institute) as an economist and professor, he worked for thirty years in the Total Group.After twenty years in management positions in natural gas in France and abroad, Pierre-Rene Bauquis was successively Head of North Sea, Head of Group Strategy and Planning and Special Advisor to the CEO, Thierry Desmarest. He is currently Associate Professor at ENSPM (IFP school) and professor at TPA (Total Professeurs Associés). He is an expert advisor to the Energy Et Environment Committee of the French Academy of Technology, a member of SFEN (the French Nuclear Energy Society), of AEPN (Environmentalists for Nuclear Energy) and numerous learned societies. With his daughter Emmanuelle, he wrote "Oit and Natural Gas - Understanding the Future published by Editions Hirle in 2004 (available in French, English, Spanish and Russian)
