Über die Autorinnen und Autoren

Christian Gout received the Ph.D. degree in applied mathematics from the University of Pau in 1997, France. His research topics include data approximation, variational methods, numerical analysis, image processing, CAGD and applications to energy, medicine and geosciences. He was a visiting scholar at the Univ. of Southern California (Los Angeles) and was also invited researcher several times at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Honolulu. He is also an alumni of UC Berkeley. Currently, he is Professor at INSA Rouen Normandie and Chair of the Research and PhD programs at INSA Rouen.

Zoé Lambert graduated from INSA Rouen Normandie in applied mathematics in 2018. She worked in an oriented data science company (AID, Paris) before being Research Engineer at INSA Rouen (Laboratory of Mathematics), in the framework of the LMI projects which focuses on road traffic modelling, energy and image processing. She is a specialist in all aspects of data science, including data approximation, machine learning and deep learning, approximation, statistics, with applications to image processing and data science, especially in connection with Centre Henri Becquerel (Rouen) and Litis Lab.

Dominique Apprato received the Ph.D. degree in applied mathematics from the University of Pau and pays de l'Adour in 1987, France. In the late 1990s, he was a Director with the Department of Mathematics, University of Pau. He also worked in the industry at ELF Aquitaine (currently, "Total"). He developed many collaborations with the industry. His main research interests include numerical analysis, finite elements, error analysis, spline approximation with applications to geosciences, oceanography and, more recently, mathematical imaging with applications in medicine and geophysics.
