Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
«Je vis à 10 km environ au sud de Toulouse. Après mes études et un diplôme des Beaux Arts, je travaille quelques années comme graphiste avant de me consacrer à mes enfants et petit à petit à l'illustration. Depuis 1999, je travaille régulièrement pour l'édition jeunesse et la presse.Vu de l'extérieur, j'habite une petite maison aux vitres à faire, au jardin où l'herbe est toute mal rangée. Mais à l'intérieur c'est l'usine : ça mouline, ça rêve, ça invente, ça colle, ça coud, ça découpe dans les souvenirs et fouine dans le présent.»La participation de Cecile Bonbon en 2002 à une expo collective amorce le début d'un travail sur le tissu intégré dans ses illustrations au trait. Les personnages vont prendre très vite du volume créant une petite famille de tissu dont le personnage fétiche Louisette se démarquera par la suite. Parallèlement Cécile monte son premier projet éditorial "tout textile", Le Machin, chez Didier Jeunesse.
