Cloth. Zustand: New. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: New. Picasso, Pablo (illustrator). First Edition. First edition, stated first printing. 4to. Cloth binding, 254 pp. Between 1924 and 1934, Picasso's oeuvre developed dramatically. During this decade, the artist maintained a complex relationship with the burgeoning and hugely influential Surrealist movement, before diverting from Surrealism to form a variant known as Supra-realism. This volume, with 264 color illustrations (many filling the page) presents an integrated analysis of the whole of Picasso's artistic creation during this time, as well as his exploration of theater and ballet in the decade before, and his increasingly political themes of 1935-40, influenced by the Spanish civil war. Among the paintings and sculptures featured here are Nude Woman in a Red Armchair; Metamorphosis I; and Bullfight: Death of the Woman Torreo. New in new dust jacket. Artikel-Nr. 020525
