Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Jorge Semprun est né en 1923 à Madrid. Il a obtenu le Prix Formentor et le Prix littéraire de la Résistance pour le Grand Voyage qui retrace sa propre expérience de la déportation, et le Prix Fémina pour la Deuxième Mort de Ramon Mercader. Le Grand Voyage a fait l'objet d'une adaptation cinématographique de Jean Prat pour la télévision.

Modiano delivers a moving account of the ten-year investigation that took him back to the sights and sounds of Paris under the Nazi Occupation and the paranoia of the P tain regime as he tries to find connections to Dora. In his efforts to exhume her from the past, Modiano realizes that he must come to terms with the specters of his own troubled adolescence.
