Working with the chief executive is key to the success of the major gift programme and there are helpful insights to enhance this working relationship including how to manage donors where the relationship is ‘owned’ by the chief executive. Finally, there can be some confusion over the use of capital campaigns and there is clarity on how to plan for a capital campaign working out how this marries with a major gift programme.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

For over 30 years Ruth has worked as a major gift fundraising consultant in the UK heading up her own Consultancy and then as Business Development Director and Board Member for the UK’s Chapter One Group/Ketchum Inc Consultancy followed by Major Gift Director for the London based Domain Group. She is currently the Principal and Founder of Ascent Philanthropy. Ruth is an experienced Major gift consultant and is passionate about helping non-profits with their major gift programmes either by enhancing the work of the philanthropy team or overseeing the introduction of a new major gift programme.
