Native (Saul Marshall Thrillers, Band 4) - Softcover

Inhaltsangabe

They survived the school shooting. But will they survive the Minute Man? When a bizarre crime unfolds on the Wind River Reservation – a school shooting survivor spots a stranger on her baby monitor, then winds up dead – the whole thing barely even registers. Inexplicable violence, after all, is routine on the Rez.For Saul Marshall – on the run, laid low by depression – the Rez’s brutal lawlessness can only be met with grim fatalism: when he stumbles across the aftermath of a neo-Nazi lynching of a young Native woman, his instincts are to mourn and move on. Yet try as he might to turn a blind eye, as the violence unexpectedly escalates and a grotesque pattern emerges – the victims are all survivors of horrific historical atrocities – a sickened Saul is forced to wade in.But when Saul learns the culprit is no mere fascist, but a conspiracy obsessed ex-militiaman convinced the government and Natives have been stage-managing phony atrocities, he quickly finds himself radically out of his depth.
