Concluding each section are a variety of Exploration exercises that can be used for group projects, individual exploration, lesson extensions, and integration of critical thinking and values for effective problem solving. There is also a new section relating to travel, that can be used for an international study trip associated with the course. Chapter 4 contains a large exercise that fits well as a team assessment over Geometry, while chapter 8 finishes with several options for a statistics project.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Jacci and Scott White teach for the Department of Mathematics & Sciences at Saint Leo University where Dr. White is a Professor of Mathematics and Director of the Honors Program. Scott White is also head Volleyball coach at St. Petersburg College. They have been very active with the professional mathematics community holding offices that include President, Vice President for Programs, Vice President of Site, and Governor of the Florida Section of the Mathematical Association of America and past Mathematics and Computer Science section co-chair for the Florida Academy of Sciences. Past honors and awards include winner of the SLU School of Arts and Sciences Researcher of the Year, MAA Distinguished College or University Teacher of the Year, Phyllis Meek Service Award for the Florida Association of Women in Education, SLU Excellence in Service award, and MAA Distinguished Service Award.
