I was talking with a friend one day, sharing with him some of my memories from when I served as an inmate firefighter. He stopped me: "Don't tell me about it, write it down and share it with everyone! It will be great to tell others what it was like as an inmate to be a part of the fight against the yearly California fires." So, I sat down and began doing just that, and I hope you enjoy this book. Being a firefighter was a wonderful experience for me, and I enjoyed going back over those memories as I wrote California Inmate Firefighter.
