Several stories are included in this collection including a haunted house that has a very subtle method of eliminating its owners. Another story involves a very talkative taxi driver as he picks up and drops off his regular daily passengers on a normal weekday morning in a city on the planet of Mulgroon. The story is unique in that it is presented from the taxi driver's point of view. There is also a story that involves the disruption of the lives of bee-like beings in another dimension and how one of them responds to this disruption. Also, there is a story that presents a twist on the origin of vampires who actually came from another planet and who manage to make their way to Earth - about 200 centuries in the past. And, to add a little whimsey, there is also a reworking of the familiar children's fairy tale "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" that has been updated to include Baby Bear's three older siblings - Bernice, Cynthia, and Franklin.
