With so many things happening around us, it is very difficult to hear the voice of reason. Our thoughts are filled with negativity, doubt, fear and insecurities. It's getting more and more difficult to decipher the one true word, which is the word of God. Our heart, mind and soul are in a state of disarray - but that is not what God has promised us. That is clearly not his work.

When events in or life does not quite dgo the way we expect them to go or we don't get exactly what we want, It is easy to feel disappointed, It is when we fail to see the bigger picture and the grand plan of God. We start to doubt that he is working in our lives to make us better Christians. Instead, we lose confidence in the power of God and start taking matters in our own hands and try to accomplish things we feel God is holding us back from. We start to think we no longer need HIM and we are IN Control of our own destinies. Arogance and Pride takes over and we forget that God is looking out for the best for us. We forget that the Lord is good and graceful. Funny thing is, when something goes wrong becasue we decide to follow our own instinct, we are quick to blame God for it.

If God was in the center of our lives always, then confidence in his power and goodness will never waver. We will learn to trust that he knows what is best for us and if we pay attention, his words are filled with powerful promises of strength and courage. All that's required is complete confidence in him and his teachings.
