Inhaltsangabe

Rene d' Anjou, also known in Occitan as Rai Rainièr lo Bòn (The Good King), was a 15th-century count in France. He held sway over numerous provinces such as Lorraine, Anjou, and Provence. Not only was Anjou appointed King of Sicily by title, he was a fine author, poet and amateur painter. His Book of the Love Smitten Heart (Livre du Cuer d'amours espris) is an allegory prose poem about Heart, a knight adorned in red arms, who pursues the hand of Sweet Mercy. His companion Desire leads him on through a series of adventures, jousts, and ill-fated places. At last, he arrives, but his lover is held captive! Moreover, an ambush destroys him and his company. My continuation, composed in about 7,000 words, elaborates further on the story of Heart and his quest for the hand of Sweet Mercy.
