Inhaltsangabe

Bitterroot is a tale of five generations that began in the eighteen-hundreds in Wales with an immigrant forefather that crossed the Atlantic in his late teens in midwinter and found work on the Erie Canal, first as a shovel boy and then as a hoagie. A story of the life and place that each generation chose the work of their hands, and of the women chosen for them.
