Yasmin John-Thorpe uses children's stories to open young minds and educate early readers. She writes fiction, non-fiction and adult novels. Two of her children’s short stories were published in a school reader by MacMillan Publishing of London, EnglandShe was one of only four authors, whose short story was selected for publication in a children’s book for hospital use throughout the Caribbean. Yasmin trekked the Camino de Santiago de Compostela, a pilgrimage walk of 500 miles, across Southern France and Northern Spain in 2010, to raise funds for children's literacy programs.
