Why the Adulteration is done in milk? The payment of milk is based on the FAT of milk. By adding adulterants in milk the FAT can be increased to increase the payment. The most commonly used adulterants are sugar, salt, urea and starch. Why these four adulterant only? These four adulterants are easily available in rural area so normally these adulterants are added in milk.
