Dr. Sadia Warsi is an Associate Professor in the Special Education Program at National Louis University. Her research focuses on the intersection of refugee experiences and disabilities in educational contexts. With an educational background spanning four countries (India, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Canada), she brings international perspective to American educational practices. Dr. Warsi holds degrees from the University of Manitoba, The American University, and a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She teaches graduate courses that integrate cultural responsiveness with effective special education practices. Her scholarly work addresses significant gaps in how educational systems serve students facing both displacement and disability challenges. Through partnerships with public and private schools, she develops and implements inclusive practices that honor students' complete identities.
