Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

James Getty and Tom Smart have over 25 years of teaching experience between them. Over the course of their careers, they have taught in numerous schools across Scotland, with James Getty marking for the SQA for several years. Tom and James also have an interest in journalism, contributing to a wide range of publications. Both teachers think they might, after all this time, now have the skills necessary in order to read for understanding, analysis and evaluation. Their dream is that one day, mobile phones cease to work and, desperate for something resembling a computer screen, pupils have no choice but to read books. Until then, the authors hope this teaching resource is useful.
