You do not need more hours. You need a better way to decide what gets them.
Most people are not overwhelmed because they are lazy, unmotivated, or unwilling to work. They are overwhelmed because too much work is competing for the same space — Today.
Deadlines hide inside emails. Projects sit on task lists as if they were single actions. Small requests scatter across the day. Important work gets pushed aside by whatever arrived most recently, and the week becomes a cycle of reacting, postponing, and catching up.
The 96-Hour Rule offers a different way to manage the work.
Built from a system Mark Wilder developed and refined while serving in demanding U.S. Army leadership and operations roles, The 96-Hour Rule focuses on the next four working days — close enough to control, far enough ahead to prevent avoidable crises.
Inside, you will learn how to:
The goal is not a perfect planner page.
It is not a rigid schedule that collapses the first time real life interferes.
It is a practical decision system for placing work where it belongs, protecting the work that deserves your best attention, and keeping the rest from taking over.
Protect the top. Contain the bottom. Place the work. Then keep moving.

Mark Wilder is a retired U.S. Army First Sergeant with more than 26 years of leadership, operations, training, and workforce-development experience. Over the course of his military career, he led and developed teams in demanding environments where priorities, deadlines, limited capacity, and shifting requirements had to be managed with discipline and judgment. His background includes senior recruiting and operations leadership, multi-site team management, career guidance, performance development, and practical instruction in time management, self-management, and professional growth. The 96-Hour Rule grew from that experience: not as a theory built for perfect conditions, but as a working method developed under real pressure and refined through repeated use.Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Southern New Hampshire University and has completed extensive military leadership and career-development training. He is also an author and publishing business owner, bringing a practitioner's perspective to goal-setting, workload management, and the challenge of making steady progress when life and work do not slow down.He has lived and worked across the United States, Europe, Australia, and the Caribbean. Those experiences shaped both his writing and his practical understanding of how people organize work, build capability, and get important things done without pretending they have unlimited time.
