Dan Zadra is the founder of Seattle's Compendium, Inc., one of the nation's foremost publishers of inspirational books, gifts, and greeting cards. He is also the founder and creative director of Zadra Creative, based in Wallace, Idaho. Dan has written, cowritten, and edited more than 200 books, including dozens of award-winning gift books, a variety of private label business books, several children's books, and six consecutive best sellers. He is the originator of the acclaimed ThoughtFulls pop-open cards--more than a billion pop-open cards, carrying messages of hope and inspiration, have been circulated throughout the world.

Kristel Wills received a BA from The Evergreen State College in Washington and a MA from the University of Wyoming. Born in Butte, Montana, she moved all over the American West. She now lives in Seattle with her husband.

Jessica Phoenix was born in Massachusetts to creative parents who didn't bat an eye when she decided to attend art school. After earning her BFA in illustration at the Rhode Island School of Design, she moved to Seattle to illustrate and design products for Compendium. There she's grown her love of color, hand lettering, and pattern design. She enjoys painting flowers, mixing cocktails, and hanging out with her silly husband and two cats.
