Dr. Kevin Coghlan grew up in Chicago, IL; Nashville, TN; and Columbus, OH. He holds a PhD in Psychology with a specialization in Gender Diversity from National University and a Master's in Sociology from Middle Tennessee State University. Dr. Coghlan is a professor of psychology and sociology. His teaching focuses on social stratification, particularly concerning race and ethnicity, social class, biological sex and gender, and sexuality. He lives in Upper Arlington, OH, with his wife, Ina, and their two children, Beckett and Harlow. In his free time, he enjoys coffee and playing live music.
Maureen Pelegrin has worked as an Intervention Specialist in Cleveland, Ohio, and its surrounding suburbs for over fifteen years. Her experience spans diverse educational settings, from low-income urban schools to affluent districts, giving her firsthand insight into the systemic inequalities that shape students' educational opportunities. Passionate about advocating for equity in education, Maureen is committed to supporting marginalized students and challenging the structures that reinforce racial and socioeconomic disparities.In her spare time, she enjoys de-stressing with family and friends, swimming, and practicing yoga.
