Inhaltsangabe

The Old Testament holds marvelous tales of the origins of humankind and Jakob Streit tells them woven with legends beyond the original text that lift young hearts to understand the importance of family, and right action, community and truth. This book tells the stories of the Old Testament in three segments: the Patriarchs; the Kings; and the Prophets. This offers a deep picture of the glory and despair of the early days of the Hebrew people, which, in turn, offers a prototype for all that follows in Western civilization. These stories are beautifully told by a master of the magic craft of weaving a fine tale. The stories bring to life the personalities who were early leaders and life-givers in the days of Jaweh.
