Self-realization has been the goal of many spiritual seekers throughout the ages. But what is the Self? And how can it be realized? And why is it important to “know thy self?” Self- realization is a term that is often used in western philosophy to describe the fulfillment of one’s full potential. In eastern philosophy, Self-realization describes that state of life where the individual lives in harmony with the laws of nature or the laws of God in the full realization of his oneness and connection with the universe.

And the masters and saints all advised that we should “seek that first”, if we want to be free from suffering and have a blissful life.
