Inhaltsangabe

The local church is a divine institution. It is the backbone of America and a centerpiece of all civilization. A local church-the gathered body of believers in a congregation-is an organization unlike any other. From the driver's seat of pastoral ministry in the context of the local church, Dr. Timothy Pigg offers an insightful and engaging look into what makes Christian churches exceptional in all of human history. Whether you are interested in joining a church, simply want to learn more, or find yourself curious as to why entire governments, secular institutions, educational establishments, and political leaders often are concerned by and oppose the work of the local church, this book is for you. A brief and engaging work, you will not want to put it down. Indeed, the local church matters!
