Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Janet Porter (nee Champer) arrived in Pittsburg, at the start of what came to be known as, “The Baby Boom,” following the Second World War.

In an era that virtually defined American exceptionalism, Ms. Porter survived her young adulthood in New York City, where she experienced firsthand the gradual unraveling of the social contract.  Subsequent years of living in the Deep South has continued to inform her world view, and have driven a deep need to find meaning and her place in the Cosmos.  That place has come to be defined by her passionate advocacy for animal rights, and her work in animal rescue.  Janet settled in rural Oregon, where she cares for horses, dogs, cats, and any other creatures that need a hand.

This is Janet’s first novel.  She hopes you enjoy it.
