There is an enormous difference between accessing the Word and processing the Word. Accessing the Word identifies truth; processing the Word actualizes truth. Accessing the Word doesn’t necessarily change us; processing the truth does. For many Christians, there is a Grand Canyon gap between belief and behavior, between their talk and their walk, between what they know and what they grow. This book is offered to close that gap. To generalize truth is one thing; to internalize it is another. Truth can be as sterile and infertile as a marble in a little boy’s pocket. Though beautifully designed and carried every day, it really doesn’t accomplish anything. If we want truth to accomplish what it should, we must transfer it from the cold storage compartment of our brain to a heart made warm by the Spirit of God. And that can be done by using the biblically-sanctioned procedures set forth in this book. The goal is for the Word to become flesh once again, as it grips and governs the soul and becomes a life-giving reality.
