The author is an Army veteran who has experienced change and uncertainty for close to three and a half decades in the Olive Greens. He began to prepare a life outside the Army well before he hung up his uniform and now charts his own course in the civvies street.

A postgraduate in Defence Studies, he also has an MBA and is pursuing MPhil. Additionally, he is fluent in six languages and an avid reader of history. He has authored two books – on the Fort William of Calcutta and History of Air Defence Artillery. He is now in the process of completing his next book ‘From Pipli to Plassey’, an account of the first hundred years of the British in Bengal.
