Über die Autorinnen und Autoren

Mikala Carpenter is a children's book editor with a Master's in children's literature. She is fluent in Spanish, and has studied Spanish language, literature, translation, and linguistics at Indiana University, the University of Michigan, and the University of Oxford. She can most often be found by a lake in Michigan.

Gemma Román is a Mexican illustrator and character designer. She works from her hometown of Culiacán, where she illustrates children's books for publishers worldwide, and she has also worked for some popular brands like Disney and Starbucks. Her art has been exhibited in galleries in California, New York, and México.
