The words challenge us and raise difficult questions. They are often associated with churches quite different from ours. Few Episcopalians seem to use the words to describe themselves. Yet we’re convinced that if we reclaim and strengthen our sense of discipleship, we will experience the kind of energy, creativity, compassion and courage that are promised to those who commit themselves to following Jesus Christ.
